Youth STEM Initiative has partnered with Research Girl, Inc. and ByteCraftEnterprise to launch an introductory R Studio coding workshop on Zoom in which students can learn about the fundamentals of programming in R and using the RStudio IDE, how to create variables, understand different data types and write basic functions using R, and how to compute statistical information to visualize data as charts and grap

This workshop is led by Stephanie Washburn, a Psychology Ph.D. Student at the University of Florida, who founded ByteCraft to teach programming to underprivileged individuals. She uses R programming herself in her studies to create visualization of data and has experience working with other programming languages as well. Full recap here.

Youth STEM Initiative has partnered with MedXplorer with the help of the YSI United Arab Emirates chapter to launch a 3-week program called STEM Quest aimed at providing aspiring STEM researchers with a great opportunity to boost their knowledge and research skills with the help of professional researchers in science 🔬🧫
