Francesca Romana Centini
Cesca, a Medical Student from Milan, Italy, joined Youth STEM Initiative at the advent of 2025, taking on the leadership roles of Head of Research and the Leader of our Italian Chapter. She has already made an impact on YSI, designing our upcoming STEMentor program, sharing magnificent global opportunities with the team, and accelerating the growth of the organization in Italy. Cesca is creative, bright, and charismatic, capable of taking on any challenge with her wide range of skills and never-ending drive to learn. Not to mention all the instruments she plays and her incredible Substack blog. By combining her artistic hobbies with her passion for medicine—particularly neuroscience—she truly embodies the values of a Renaissance woman in the modern world.

Zoe, from Thessaloniki, Greece, is one of the hardest working people to join Youth STEM Initiative, at first as a researcher and now becoming the leader of our Greek chapter. Fascinated by emerging technologies, Zoe loves to research and write about all the brilliant tech that is being developed around the world. An enthusiast for community service, she also loves volunteering her time to help those around her.

Mark-Daniel Leupold
Mark, from Wolfsburg, Germany, is young scholar of many talents, originally joining YSI as a researcher and now leading our Germany chapter. Fascinated by cars, AI, and ultimately autonomous driving, Mark is knowledgeable on how to work with emerging tech like neural networks and other machine learning models to develop self-sufficient technology (a lot of his fascinating work can be found here). Also a martial artist of many forms and a pianist, Mark can tackle any challenge and is adept at multiple skills across a variety of fields.

Nayra Cadavid
Nayra, who originally joined YSI as a researcher and has published several amazing research articles related to biology and climate change, has now stepped up to lead her country’s chapter! Hailing from the beautiful city of Barcelona in the heart of Catalunya, Spain, Nayra is the first person to join YSI from the country and has since made a lot of valuable scientific contributions to the organization. She is excited about the future of YSI Spain and stoked to be the leader of what is set to become one of our organization's largest chapters.

Roza Anastasiadou
Roza, who originally joined Youth STEM Initiative as a researcher specializing in organic chemistry and cancer research, has now taken the responsibility of leading her home country’s chapter! Hailing from the mesmerizing city of Paphos on the west coast of Cyprus, Roza is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Economics at the University of Macedonia in Thessaloniki, Greece. She looks forward to expanding the reach of YSI in Cyprus and is excited to be the leader of it all!
