Hey everyone! I'm Wojciech, a Polish high school student with a strong passion for economics and writing. My main expertise in STEM lies in Mathematics and I love to edit scientific work. Outside of my academic life, I love to go to the gym and listen to music! I was a cyclist for 6 years so that's probably where I get my love to sports from. Fun fact: I won Exonverse's "Startup for Ukraine," Poland's largest startup competition!
Arsalan Ghermezi 🇮🇷

Hey everyone! I'm Arsalan, a current 4th year civil engineering student at Islamic Azad University in Tehran, Iran. I have a passion for studying and making sense of the mathematics and mechanics behind constructing sustainable and efficient infrastructure. Other than that, some of my hobbies include playing and watching football (soccer), going out for a run with my friends in one of Tehran's many hiking trails, and travelling with my family to see new places. I look forward to sharing some of my best work with the world through Youth STEM Initiative while editing the work of others!
Anna-Marie Skinder 🇨🇦

Hi everyone! My name is Anna-Marie and I’m currently a senior at Magee Secondary School in Vancouver, Canada. My passion for science began in grade 8 when I finalized at my first district science fair. My project demonstrated the relationship between the concentration of fermented grape juice, and time to finish fermentation, rate of fermentation and alcohol produced. Since then, I have developed a love for biochemistry and microbiology - in particular, the field of immunology. In 2022, I studied the function of inflammasomes in the human body and their potential to manage inflammation associated with multiple diseases. One day, I hope to help others through my research in any way that I can. In the meantime, you can find me training as a member of the Canadian team in the swimming pool, gym, ocean and on the track as I prepare for the Lifesaving World Championships 2024 in the Gold Coast, Australia.

Hey everyone! I am a grade 11 student who is currently attending West Point Grey Academy in Vancouver, Canada. Oftentimes when I am not in a classroom environment, you can find me kicking a soccer ball, swinging a golf club, building mechanical keyboards, or playing video games (I'm especially a huge fan of FIFA). Fueled with curiosity, I thrive on absorbing new knowledge while applying different skills such as critical thinking, communication, and creativity. My interest in STEM lies primarily around physics and math, and I've been trying to get more into studying engineering by watching videos and reading books. This is what I'm thinking of pursuing in university and will form the bulk of the content I edit and produce for Youth STEM Initiative!

Hey everyone, my name is Fahad. I'm from Islamabad, Pakistan and I'm on cloud nine about going into medicine. My passion for medicine increased after my summer program venture at Johns Hopkins University in July 2022. I've studied at Beaconhouse and finally graduated in June 2023. I've taken a gap year to enjoy some of my other passions such as travelling (especially to Miami!), photography, and music (can't live without it). I'm looking forward to working with everyone at Youth STEM Initiative!

He is one of those people that at first can be a little introverted but is very talkative when you become friends. He loves talking about politics, languages, the environment, human rights, and much more! Hey everyone, I am a Grade 11 student who is currently attending West Point Grey Academy in Vancouver, Canada. I love and adore the outdoors while pursuing high academic studies. When I’m not in a classroom pursuing my love for physics or math, I can be found reading or making daisy cutters with a soccer ball on the beautiful thing that is a soccer pitch. I have developed a passion for the game that is now 8 years strong, and this sport that I have come to love has been an essential teacher in helping me develop valuable life skills like working hard and staying determined. With these skills, I look forward to editing the work published in Youth STEM Initiative to the best of my ability to make them fine works of science.
