Youth STEM Initiative is a student-led scientific organization dedicated to showcasing the work of young science scholars and promoting STEM education through articles, videos, science courses and other forms of content and connecting STEM-inspired youth from around the world with STEM activities.
YSI France's Inaugural Event
Our France Chapter is hosting its first event on Monday, October 19, at the College Doctoral Européen in Strasbourg, France.
Location
An beautiful event in a beautiful location. Strasbourg's College Doctoral Européen offers a fantastic scientific conference venue and doctoral residence where transformative talks will take place in its conference room, while our games and stands fill a beautiful open inner garden. It’s a setting built for research and curiosity, with a bit of Strasbourg's fresh air thrown in.
Activities
The evening will feature five interactive game stands that will take participants through breast cancer from different angles, so you leave understanding what really lies behind the pink ribbon. A conference and open discussion follow, rounded out with a buffet and matcha bar to keep the evening relaxed. Wander the garden at your own pace, ask questions at every stand, and trade ideas with the YSI team and fellow guests along the way.
Impact
This important evening marks the launch of YSI France, bringing a student-led movement born across the world in Vancouver in 2023 and now active in more than 15 countries to Strasbourg. By tackling Rose October through play and conversation instead of lectures, it gives Strasbourg a new way to make science accessible and lays the groundwork for a chapter that can grow across all of France.

BioMedizone Vancouver, based in Vancouver, BC, Canada, is one of two international chapters of BioMedizone, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in New Jersey, USA that's committed to providing students with a platform to research and learn more about their biomedical topic of interest. So far, with 70+ team members, the organization has impacted 3000+ students across 25+ countries and has partnered with 30+ organizations worldwide.
MedXplorer
BIOMEDIZONE VANCOUVER
MedXplorer is an initiative based in Pakistan with the goal of promoting digital healthcare solutions to all, with accessible, affordable, and of high quality sustainable future aiming to pursue United Nations SDG goals 2030. With MedXplorer, we held our first ever international workshop series called STEM Quest in November/December 2024 with 120 applicants worldwide and 7 speakers who led insightful sessions on a variety of topics in healthcare and medicine.
Tech Girls Tunisia
Our partnership with Tech Girls Tunisia, particularly through the YSI Tunisia chapter, led to the launch of the Wallah We Can—a workshop series on web development in which attendees gained hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, and project presentations. The workshop series brought together girls with a passion for web development and computer programming from all over the Middle East and were led by 3 trainers—Kods Oueslati, Yosr Rouatbi, and Eya Lahiani—who taught many valuable skills with these programming languages across three sessions.
THE SCIENCE PAGE
The Science Page is a student-run science club based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, that aims to propagate the full understanding of science for maturing students and guarantee excellence on the subject. The motivation behind The Science Page is that many students do not like science because it is hard, which is why the organization was formed to make science easier. The club's website not only provides scientific resources for students of all ages to help them better grasp difficult scientific topics, but also has KS3 and (I)GCSE focused content.
INTERNATIONAL YOUTH STEM SOCIETY
The International Youth STEM Society (IYSS) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to increasing accessibility to STEM learning and knowledge for youth regardless of their age, ethnicity, race, gender, financial status, or any social standings. They conduct workshops, create technical handbooks, and host STEM competitions to foster interest and innovation in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The primary vision of IYSS is to empower the next generation of STEM leaders who will drive innovation and change around the world.
VELOCITY STEM CLUB DUBAI
Velocity: The STEM Club is a youth-led science club based in Dubai, UAE that focuses on spreading STEM awareness to inspire & ignite curiosity in youth. Through events, competitions, and projects that mimic real-world scenarios, this club offers students the opportunity to develop skills such as problem-solving, communication, and leadership.

The United Nations Sustainable Development (UNSD) Youth community, based in Vancouver, BC, Canada, is a nonprofit organization led by youth for youth that posts opportunities, create initiatives, and educates students to promote the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), aiming to create a positive impact in the community and utlimately for the world.
